Just noticed an exhaust leak on my 02 GT this morning. It's dripping quite consistently, and leaving a puddle. The location of the leak is at the part where the pipe connects to the actual muffler, so about 3-4 inches behind the rear wheels. This is happening on both sides of the exhaust. Is this something that will require a whole new exhaust? Or can I just get new mufflers?

It's the drain holes in the front of the muffler to drain water and condensation. Unless you have a hole in the pipe it's normal, well every one I have seen does this to some extent.

Sent using Tapatalk 2 from my GS3.

welcome to winter time. most newer cars have this hole in the muffler to let moisture leak out. helps keep the mufflers from rotting out.

I guess I've never noticed it before until now.... I've had this car for 7 years. Guess I'm the idiot of the day then.
