Removed the engine and trans out the top to swap a new tranny in..

Dropped everything back in and reinstalled the oil filter adapter with a new gasket. Started the engine up and let it idle for a bit, then it started pissing out of from the adapter and it is coming from the seal between the adapter and the engine.

I removed it once again, got another gasket, felpro mind you, made sure all the old gasket was off the adapter and got as much off as i could of the engine with a roloc...reinstalled it and it is once again leaking.

Any ideas at all? Should I double gasket it?

I had to take that same adapter off when dad and I did the engine swap in the GT. We used a new gasket and didn't have a leak at all. But I'm thinking dad smeared some rtv on the surface around the gasket as a precaution. So maybe you could do that. On both sides of the gasket?
