Hello everyone, new guy here. I was just cruisin after restoring the plastic on the headlights last night and noticed the power steering pump whining even louder than usual, a lot more higher pitched whine. Its always been noisy but now its real bad.

I checked the fluid and it looked fine (PIA to get at) and no leaks that I can see. What am I up against if I decide to change it? I assume I need to pull the dogbone bolts for starters and move the engine forward since I can barely get my hand down there...

    Thanks!
    Dan

You want the easy way or the had way?

    Easy:
Pull the alt and it's bracket. PS pump is much easier to get at. You'll replace your coolant elbows at the same time and some coolant. Likely you'll do most of the work through the wheel well, but you'll take the pump out the top.

    Hard:
Do it all through the wheel well.

Hey.. I know that's not much info, it's early and I'm on autopilot. I'd pull the alt personally.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
