    Hey Forum,

I am considering replacing the restrictive stock downpipe with a 2.5 inch one, what I want to know is, is there any sort of added fire danger from doing this? (going from a double walled pipe to a single walled pipe) Thanks in Advance and sorry if this isn't in the right place i couldn't find a sub section for exhaust.

If there were a fire danger, 90% of the peoples cars here would charcoal. The single wall is what helps them flow better.

03 GTP...Its got pulleys and stuff.

Double wall doesn't do **** except restrict your air flow. Go with 2.5 DP. Dont worry about your fire wall catching on fire lol. My car is still ok

Go 3in, make it worth your money.

Stock is 2.25 with ubend, is the 2.5 really worth it?

You know back pressure is a myth right?

A normal running car with a fully stock exhaust creates less than 1 psi of back pressure.

I run SD headers with the 3in downpipe with no cat converter and its as free flowing exhaust as you can get.
