    Hello.

I just bought an 03 Pontiac gp gt and it clicks. It is not really noticeable unless the rpms are about 1700

Then it makes a clicking noise

Dad said it was the bearings for the crankshaft or the crankshaft itself

So I wanted advice to see what u guys think it is

Could be anything. Try removing the belt and starting it. Do you hear the click then? Only run it like this for a moment or it will heat up. Could be a lifter, tensioner pulley, A/C compressor, rocker, rod knock, etc.. Is there anyway to get a vid of it? Where in MO are you? Might be someone local that can help out.

Usually your going to have rod knocks before the main crank bearings go out. It could be many differnt things. Try listening from under the car by the oil pan. if you can hear it louder there than it's coming from the bottom end but if its louder at the top then its more than likely a lifter or rocker ect.
