Hey all I am considering buying a set of Street Fire brand spark plug wires (MSD off brand) would these increase power any or how do these help performance? I know they can deliver a better spark but I fail to see how that helps performance I'm a little confused.

They won't. Just get a set of lifetime wires and call it done. And no, you don't need MSD coils either. In fact they are known to fail on these cars. Stock is best. Stick some copper or irridium plugs in it and call it done. No Platinums!

the only benefit i have heard from performance wires is that they hold together better then your normal OEM wires. and if you end up pulling and replacing plugs alot then you might wear out regular wires and have them come apart while pulling plugs.

This. Get some Ac Delcos or something and call it a day no need for performance wires unless you want them for looks.

My stock replacement NGK wires are holding up nicely. Change the plugs a couple times per year.
