I have a fine but steady flow of light colored smoke coming from my engine. I don't know exactly were it's coming from, but it flows up the outside of the oil dipstick and smells like burnt rubber. Noticed it shortly after starting the engine and looking under the hood and it continued for several minutes after turning the car off.
I've never noticed this before, any ideas?

probably your valve cover gaskets are bad and leaking onto the exhaust manifolds. easy fix.

That was my first thought, but it seems pretty far down. I couldn't see the source peering down past the exhaust manifold.

and why would it smell like burning rubber?

    Remove belt and inspect.

Could also be a starter wire melting.

I checked the belt first, it's nowhere near it. Starter wire worries me, especially since I had just ran it to clear the fuel line.
