    Hi new here have a 2000 grand prix gt 3.8 not superchage it just stalls at random times runs fine then rpm drops to 0 like it wad turnf off i have even put it in nutrel to start it back and before i can rpm comes back sometimes it will have to be cranked to restart its sometimes it takes a bit to start but it always does so far check engine lite just came back on havnt pulled codes yet this time been on begore said it was mas air flo sensor changed it didnt fix any sugestions would be help full thanks

    I'm on the same thing.. Crank sensor is the single item that is common and may or may not toss a light.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    Thanks again for all your info crank sensor fixed it.tryed to do it my self got a lone a tool fromm autozone to get the pully off got home only to find out they gave me the wroung stuff go figure.then droped it off with my trusted local shop they agred with crank sensor so they put it on for 85 bucks part i provided it was 36 thanks again

    I just had the crank sensor replaced, they supplied part, and it was $200. I feel like I got ripped a little. Oh well, the car has run fine for a week now, keep fingers crossed.

    The next item I'll check if it acts up again is the Ignition Control Module. They are like $150 but easy install. The OEM part is like $250 or so. Junkyard maybe get a lot cheaper.
