So a few days ago engine started ticking, on start up but would go away when the engine warmed up. (ticking seems to be from the top) would stumble some times until warm -- Cyl 6 Misfire code was thrown. Did seafoam, Drove about 50 miles, just did an oil change, some ticking then it went away. But then I noticed a sewing machine noise? coming from the passenger side (could the oil pump be failing?)

carbon/sludge build up, not changing your oil often and allowing it to gum up.

    could be that.

Ok, Thought I was losing it then decided it was bad info, but was waiting to hear from someone else on this forum that it is under the front cover.

People mistake the oil pick up for the pump all the time.

Hence the reason why it used to be thought and is still posted on ZZP's site about milling the oil pump cover to fit a double roller behind the timing cover.

We also now know that ZZP's site was never updated for the information learned by Janice, Zoomer and a few others that was shared.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Back to the ticky ticky.... Changed oil and went with a 5w 30 to see if that would help reduce / emliminate the ticky... Well now its actually worst. Takes longer to go away, now it only goes away when the temp gauge is near its normal warm state? So I am thinking this is not a gunk issue. Still have seafoam in there but think its getting near time to take it to the shop.
