Hey all. So, my temperature gauge in the car started showing the engine not warming up properly some time ago: it would get to the first quarter mark, or just below on highway driving, but in city it would heat up fast and a good bit more. That problem didn't "seem" to be impacting anything, so i didn't worry about it (except to change the thermostat). Then just recently it got to where it won't even get past the very first marker line (from dead cold) on the highway, yet in the city, it will heat to the midway point or a little more. Since the second temp change, i check the engine every time i get out of the car, and it's not overheating, and perhaps not hot enough(but this could be faulty perceptions from me) Any ideas on what would be causing this?

    Thanks for your time,

    Jason

Have the car scanned for codes. If you don't have a P0128 which is the code for the engine not heating up properly. Then likely your coolant temp sensor or the wiring to it is it faulty.

Replaced the sensor today, but still doing the same thing. The car is also shuddering under power after midway through second gear; not sure they are related, but i replaced the plugs and wires and it still happened. Any suggestions?

    Thanks
