Pontiac Grand Prix Sway Link Replace - YouTube you can see it's independent of the LCA. See attached, the sway bar link connects from the strut assembly to the stabilizer shaft.

So a 97-03 LCA should be fine?

yeah id say you look ok to use the 97 -03 lca's.

maybe wait till tomorrow and see what others have to say, but im thinking you'll be ok with them.

It just depends if it'd clear the sway bar mount on the LCA.

Look at your car and see how close the sway bar/link comes to the LCA.

Hmmm I'm not sure on the BJ's of the 04+ cars if they press in/out or bolt up like the 97-03's. That's right. Bolt up.

See in the pic..there are three things near the ball joint. On a 97-03 those are factory rivets. You drill them and the old ball joint comes out. Then the new one bolts into place.

04+ like I said..I am unsure. I'm not looking at one.

Checked Rockauto. All those control arms say 97-08. It appears you'd have bolts.

Gotcha, thanks for the explanation. I'm not well versed in auto parts (getting there), but I can tell you all about computers and networks

Replaced my elbows this afternoon, got it up to temp with the pump and heat going and no leaks!

What my problem elbow looked like

    Point of failure

Going to do a proper coolant flush tomorrow when the coolant is cold. I can take pics of the LCA/sway bar link then.

The ball joints are riveted on the control arms on my 04. Just made a new topic in the suspension forum for the LCAs http://www.grandprixforums.net/2004-...tml#post779602
