Is everything present on a 97 SE 3.8 to put a catback dual exhaust?

Yes you just need to have the extra pipe installed. Any exhaust shop that knows what they are doing should be able to do this.

    This.

You can get a y pipe and branch it to two mufflers and tips.

The factory catback from a Dual Outlet Bumper/Catback car will bolt right up to yours...you just need the exhaust hangers to do it...that and the dual outlet bumper...it it'll look odd.

It is very easy if you put on an OEM Y pipe to dual mufflers or an aftermarket one. I replaced the single SE exhaust on my 2001 GP with a GM performance exhaust which is a 2.5 inch magnaflow system (2 mufflers and the resonator) and the only thing I needed was the driver's side rear exhaust hanger bracket-nothing else-everything else on single exhaust is exactly the same as the factory dual mufflers. Hope that helps!
