sure, but you'll blow the trans becuase its a 4l60e and vacuum controlled and very weak.
its called a top swap and involves tons more parts than just the blower.
use. the. search. button.
have any of you actually supercharged a 97, or are you just going off of what you heard from another member?
just going off facts.
the motor itself can be topswapped, but your dealing with a year only pcm and year only vacuum trans that can hardly handle the stock 195 crank hp that the motor puts out.
lol i meant the work for the engine swap.. not the picture.. i got that part now..
and i didnt really buy the gt.. it was passed from my dad to my mom and she sold it to me.. ive been driving it and fell in love with gps.. ill end up buying a gtp soon enough.
not going to get into any arguments or anything, but ive HEARD completly different. ive heard the 4t60e and 65e are identical. the only differece is the 65e uses (i think) pressure soleniod or something, to shift instead of the vaccume. some series 1 3800s were supercharged and put out over 225hp to the crank, using the 4t60e.

pfft the series ones were HORIBBLE. there is no way in hell even at the crank they made 225. and they are not the same. its been done over and over...with the same result. click click boom. the buy a gtp idea is fantastic. do that
did you even look it up before saying im lying? here i did it for ya.....on a couple sites

Hey guys hope this ends the bickering
This is what GM states they are the SAME FAMILY of trans not the same trans and the difference is The 4T65-E was introduced to replace the 4T60-E in 1997. The 4T65-E included a larger 258 mm torque converter for some models and many other changes to improve reliability. It is able to handle vehicles up to 6500 lb (2948 kg) GVWR with up to 280 ft·lbf (380 N·m) of torque. A number of final drive ratios are available, with many distinct models. Starting in mid year 2000 models, all 4T65-E models received an upgraded valve body. Starting in 2003 the internal electronics were changed, hardened 4th gear shaft, ratcheting springs for input and 3rd gear were added. The last application was the 2011 Chevrolet Impala as GM has transitioned to the 6T70 family transmissions for 2012.
Check with Ed Morad for conformation as well all know that guy knows his stuff
or do a l32 swap and get a tep trans than say to hell with everything that is of course after lots and lots of research
and monies
So says the interwebz...have you ever seen one strapped to a dyno? How about the guy that did anything and everything to build it and only made like 240 ponies....sometimes wiki lies
those were all factory numbers. so your saying our cars dont make the factory 195hp. every site says 195hp at the crank. damn liers lol.
Umm who's car makes 195 crank? Not mine sir, not when new either. Your right it would be crazy that gm or ford or anyone over or under rate there cars....that's never happened anywhere ever
