Sorry to just join and ask a question, but there's nobody else who can guess what's wrong with my car
Was just driving down the road a few days ago when it just started sputtering and idling really rough at around 500RPM. I couldn't get it to go fast enough to get off the shoulder, then it just died and refused to start. Still nothing, I turn the key, it cranks, it's trying to start, but it just won't fire...
So far I've tried switching out all of the coils, the fuel filter and the ignition control module with no luck. I can't tell if there's fuel pressure now either, but there definitely was when I pressed on the Schrader Valve so I could replace the filter. We did actually notice that apart from one of the heads on the 2/5 coil that one of the wires is rusted and doesn't click in to place like the rest do.
Do any of you guys think that a faulty wire could ever cause my car to sputter out and die? Is there anything else (fuel pump?) that could make it do this? I'm not that great with cars, TBH I'm pretty much at my limit of what I think I can replace hahaha XD
