Hey guys,

I have recently noticed a problem with my 99 Grand Prix GT its got a 3.8 L36 and every time i do a little "spirited driving" i smell what almost smells like oil burning or a seriously over rich condition i pull over immediatly and open the hood there is no smoke, no fire and the smell seems to be gone. I went to the local chevy dealership and they pulled up the history and said the only work they've done to it is the seatbelt recall. As far as I know its got the stock LIM gaskets, UIM gaskets, Valve cover gaskets and grommets all with around 180,000 miles on it. Do any of you have any ideas on what's causing this? It is really beginning to concern me. Also both of the O2 sensors seem old. The upstream O2 looks like a bosh 02 sensor and i dont know what the downstream sensor look like (have'nt had it out myself). Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated .

Thanks in advance,
tgarison
