I know this is a stupid question, but where is the fuel filter on a 2008 3.8L Grand Prix. I just recently bought this car and this morning i went and followed the lines from the gas tank to the front of the vehicle and found NO filter. I'm assuming it is inside the gas tank but i want some other opinions! Please help!

There are some oddball cars out there. A mechanic buddy of mine called me on an 03 Comp G with Gen V. I saw the car in person and it's build date was around Jan 03. It was a Comp G and vin was 03 as well.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Nope. Fuel line cutter, flare tool, and fuel line repair kit will do it though. What a wonderful design for people who live where the roads get salted. Guess I have to store this hot rod in the winter.

Good luck with that line wrench and PB blaster if you live in a Salted road state. I should have kept mine to take a picture but it was destroyed.

Wrench + spinning the filter worked like a charm for me.
