I just changed the o2 sensor in the gp. Took it to auto zone and it is still pulling the same codes. The guy asked me when I changed it and I told him about 20 minutes ago and he said it takes 2-3 days for it to register for the codes to go out. Is that true?

clear the codes, or disconnect battery for like an hr to clear em.. if they come back its no good, if not, problem solved.

Once u clear the code, if the problem is corrected you should be all set... My girls cobalt had the same problem, changed the sensor twice to make sure, still throwing a code. Pretty sure its in the wiring between the sensor and the pcm... Wiring repairs fail.

Autozone should have cleared them after they were read.

Alright connected the battery took it to auto zone and I did ask if they could clear the codes and he told me they are not allowed to do that but he could tell me how to do it but I have to press the button. Either way doesnt matter because he plugged it in and there were NO codes!!! Thanks for your help again guys!

This feels like a dick move.

What where the codes? Because swapping an O2 only fixes an O2 heat/inactivity code.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
