I want to improve the HP of my 2003 grand prix GT? My budget is $500. I'm already going to get a K&N air filter and new exhaust bodies. Also what exhaust bodies should I go with, magnaflow, or thrush?

    Exhaust BODIES?

    You mean mufflers?

Save your money and leave it stock.

    For a GT...and $500.

    Headers, HV3, Tuned PCM.

Just buy a cone filter and make your own intake and save your money on that K&N junk too.

    agreed.

    Costs so much more.

So much in fact, you MIGHT as well start with heads and a cam in there because you'll want to do it later.

    Then you'll need a transmission.

    having fun yet?

At the very least, heads rebuilt ($300), headers (300-600) on top of your 500...

    Tune? 100-250.

    Aeroforce and wideband? $400.

Yeah, no point in topswapping without headers. Knock country.

Mine cost me around 3 times that. Ill admit I probably could have done it for less, but i would declare it near impossible to have a good running top swap for 500.
