I'm still getting PO300 and PO171 codes with LTFT 16 at idle.
Replaced all rubber vac lines and checked sensors and switches for leaks, everything seems to be sealing well, including the metal LIM gaskets with almost 1000 miles on them. After searching for leaks with ether,TB-cleaner and propane, I'm ready to rule out external leaks.
Does anyone know if blocking PCV valve and all external vac ports will help when trying to find internal problems? When ether is sprayed in oil fill on VC,
engine will surge a couple of times then die, that is with PCV unblocked.
So if I block PCV,the only way ether could get into the combustion chamber is through a crack in the LIM, since it goes from the crankcase to the UIM via PCV valve,or a blown head gasket with only 4K on it. Could be the LIM gaskets didn't seal around the intake ports under the manifold, that's why I junked the plastic ones after only 3K miles. Machine shop said the heads were not shaved,so the LIM should seat properly.
Anyone major in ghost chasing?
