I have a 2000 Grand Prix GT with an L36 in it that is bad. I got an L36 out of an 03 Impala delivered today and was wondering if anything needs swapped like a crank sensor or anything or if it should just be drop and go?

So far I see fuel rails and injectors are gonna need to be swapped. The 2000 car has an EGR valve with air tubes that the 03 motor doesn't have so gonna have to swap the rear exhaust manifold, and the coolant sensor is going to need swapped.

Yeah, take a look over it. Likely it's alternator bracket, rear exhaust manifold, fuel rail and maybe the evap soleniod.

All the other stuff should be identical.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Ok which of these is the evap solenoid?

    Or

The first picture is the EGR thing I was talking about that has air tubes that go into the rear exhaust manifold. The 03 motor doesn't have the holes in the manifold or the EGR stuff on it. The second picture I'm not quite sure what that is, but it is on both motors the only difference is the 03 motor has the plug rotated 180 degrees. Will that still need changed?

Also the coolant sensor that is on the right side of the block (if your standing in front of the car looking at it) has a different plug on it so those need changed.

evap should be on the front of the motor. it'll have a small vacuum line, a line that looks like a fuel hose and a red connector with a couple of wires going into it.

the first item looks like an AIR system.

    The second is the EGR.

EGR will be required, but the AIR..... no so much.
