    ZZ Performance

Im tempted to get the above zzp kit to go along with my headers, 180* t-stat, and top it all off with a zzp pcm. Seems to make a good amount of power and looks like a good deal. Thoughts and discussion time

Swapping intake seems much easier but will i be making good power compared to a top swap or no?

Yes you will make good power from it but there are many limitations to the SSM90. I think doing the full top swap is worth it and probably cheaper in the long run but it's all about where you wanna go and what you wanna do and if you know how to do it.

Ok Local Yokel... That's a little much to be saying when you post two sentances don't think? I read all two lines and .... here's my take on it, please read it all very very carefully.

If you want things to fit, look and function right, get a top swap. If you want poor fitment, leaking fuel, and all sorts of other nonsense...get the SSM90. Personally..I wouldn't install one w/o telling the guy that likely it's going to cost him double upfront because of all the hassles I've heard of with the installs.

Just Monday night another local was here and putting on some aluminum valve covers. He asked me, "Bill, why don't these felpro gaskets fit in my new covers?". I thought about this for a millisecond and remembered that he got felpro this time because of how poorly ZZP's VC gaskets fit in his stock covers. I answered "Those are ZZP covers right?" with that he hung his head knowing the answer. ZZP's VC gaskets are too short to fit properly in a regular VC. Therefore it makes sense that a felpro gasket would be too large to fit in their VC. Quality and fitment are always issues.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I am not downing the SSM90 at all but ZZP markets it as an "Easier" setup for putting a supercharger on a N/A car. I honestly think there are gives and takes to both but ZZP charging a premium price for something that is probably going to take just as much work to get running correctly doesn't make sense to me.

I went ZZP kit because in 2005 parts were not cheap like today and I also had low miles on my car, and didnt want higher mileage used parts that I could have issues with. I cant tell you how many posts Ive seen about people getting bum parts on top swaps. Just my 2 cents
