I came across this site and it sounds pretty good, but it also sounds a little iffy, so I was wondering if any of you have had any info or have heard about this new chip. here's the website PONTIAC GRAND PRIX 1990-2008

where the hell would that even attach to affect all of those things?

instead of buying that, just light $70 on fire.

Yeah thats what I thought, like not only about the OBD systems but also the whole where in the world does it go. seems fishy, cause it's got the whole get my attention thing with the 50 hp gain, but it just seems off

Sounds like it just splices into one of your sensors. It's probably just spoofs your IAT to make your car think it's colder outside and add timing. IIRC, our PCM's don't add timing at lower temperatures, so if this is how this device works it won't do anything. If it did add timing, you'd just get knock and your car would reduce timing to compensate.

The right way to do it is to reflash the PCM. There are plenty of vendors that sell reflashed PCM's (DHP, Intense, Overkill, WBS, ZZP), and most cost about $99.

its a total waste of money. dont even bother buying it. you're better off buying a new vendor PCM and have a custom tune done. when i first bought my car i bought the jet power module. the car threw 3 codes and i had to splice my map sensor harness. which i dont like cutting a factory harness. long story short i now have a custom pcm with tune and a 200$ paperweight.

Yeah, that is all it does. Fool your IAT into thinking the air is colder than it actually is, thus making the car run richer. I can't see for the life of me how that would give you anything but fowled spark plugs and poor fuel economy.

ECT is the only thing that can alter the afr ratio or fueling of your car. And that is correct,The IAT does not add timing but it does start to pull timing at 104*F.
