i recommend an oil other than valvoline. the only exceptional oils are pennsoil, Mobil 1, and ESPECIALLY royal purple. royal purple is the best oil on the planet. valvoline is nasty, hold it up to the light and look at all the junk in it.

    Oil's oil kid.

You should know that since you work at the Zone.

Will you do us all a favor and stop giving bad info?

Also...any oil will look crappy if you "hold it up to a light after being used"...that's ****ing ignorant wording.

FWIW to the OP, I run Valvoline in my GTP. VR1 Racing Oil. The extra Zinc is great for all the bearings in your motor.

I've been happy so far with it

ooooohhhh you run vr1 ok, so you really dont know anything about oil. vr1 is way too heavy for the engine.

    Oh is it?

You do know I'm not running the full 50/60/70 weight?

Keep going junior...your posts are humorous.

    vr1 is either straight 50, or 20w50.

And 20W50 is used in TONS of motors with very large cam builds that idle low that need that bump in oil pressure...anything else?

    Lulz.

Cause I'd actually have to side with L36pro on this one.

    The stock oiling system sucks.

Guy who runs sinister drag designs has done more. Some info on it on 3800pro.

Care to share why it won't work?

    Oil's oil...guy.

Maybe you need to go back to the training classes so you can learn WITT again.

Wow...I come back to check this thread on Monday (after being gone since Friday) and it has turned into so much FAIL!!! This is the first time I've ever seen anyone utter the words that Penzoil (misspelled in the original post) was an "exceptional" oil......Now I have nothing against Penzoil and have used it in the past but exceptional?? Someone gotz to get off the reefer.....
    1999 GTP...stock for now
    2007 Suburban...far from stock
1991 GMC Dually...74k original miles. Work in progress. Far from done.
1977 C-10 (my baby)...too many mods to list

well i dont study the penzoil package, but through basic common sense i can come to the conclusion that penn state oil should be spelled pennzoil. zoil being used because pen-soil doesnt look right.
