    hi everyone,
i was wondering if anyone has had this problem which is rpm's dropping and stickin at 2000 rpm's while driving after accelerating they just seem to drop to this level and i can push the pedel down more but the rpm's stick there i just had the plugs and fuel filter change it was doing it before i got them changed i was thinkin it might be the Ignition Coils so i was wondering if anyone had this happen to them and what to do

Almost sounds like a clogged converter.

    Is the CEL flashing?
Do you feel the engine misfiring?
If you go drive down the highway for 15 minutes and immediately pull over and look under the car, is your catalytic converter glowing?

The sticking part, kinda had me thinking of a bad TPS sensor. That's a bit off the cuff thougn.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I just had a new catalytic converter installed . no the cel isn't on. i dont know about misfiring the car doesn't run rough it seem to have some fluctuating rpm at stop light like 1-200 rpms it's just the power lost after accelerating it does this.. i get on the highway step on the gas the rpm's go up to about 3'gs but as i'm accelerating it just drops down to 2000 rpm's and sticks there.. i have to let go of the gas all the way then step back on it to get the power i want.. any ideas?

your converter is locked. it supposed to do this to get good gas mileage. if you push the gas far enough down it will downshift or if you let off completely and ease back into it the converter will be unlocked.

i sure hope this is what youre talking about...
