i'm new here, my name is nick, well i finally upgraded to a sportier car and got a 2004 grand prix gt2 (all black), I am not a mechanic by any means, but my dad is. I would love to do some basic mods to my car, but nothing to expensive since i'm on a small budget and its my daily driven car. It will be done over the summer.
What my car already has done from previous owner:
    3A racing exhaust
    K&N air intake

This is what i am thinking:
    HV3 insert
    Headers:
    GRAND PRIX/GTP/REGAL/IMPALA/MONTE CARLO HEADER/EXHAUST - eBay (item 190509132684 end time Apr-04-11 15:28:03 PDT)
    Hi-Flow cat (recommendations)

What do you guys think so far? Any recommendations? HP gain estimate?
    Thanks
sorry if this has been asked multiple times, i have done some searching.

Thanks, but i have a few questions:
    headers are good then correct?
stock Cat is good for my set-up for now, unless i want to go to 350whp, correct?

So a good starting point your saying is:
headers, HV3, and a tuned PCM?
    Thanks

Just a side note.... I bought my PCM from 3800 and they have yet to send me my core refund even after I talked to the guy on the phone and he assured me that they would be sending me a check in the mail in the next few days (about 4 weeks ago)

Headers are fine. If you plan modding past your setup...Example...TOP SWAP...then you won't have to worry about flow mods...headers could be a little overkill for a stock N/A car but I'd never hesitate to get rid of the factory exhaust in these cars. If you never plan on boosting it...get a 3" DP and be done with it.

I might boost it next year, i'm atleast considering it. So i will get the headers just as an insurance for next year if i decide to. The car has 137,000 but mainly highway miles, and very well taken care of.
I think i will get this pcm:
PCM for Grand Prix GT v1.0: 3800 Performance
Anything special i need to do for it? Do i have to run 91+ octane for it?
    Thanks
Now waiting on Dashzracing to reply back so i can get my led tail lights

Ewww on the LED tails...don't really care for them, but that's your call.

As for the PCM, yes you have to run 91+ octane because they increase the timing AFAIK.

i really only like the red smoke.

Ok thats something to consider since i drive a lot. Does it hurt MPG if i'm not getting on it?

It shouldn't hurt your MPG's at all...a tune will HELP MPG's if anything.

I also recommend a shift kit and some poly mounts.

Shift Kit from Triple Edge Performance and poly Upper Bushings and Inserts from Intense...as they aren't as soft as ZZP's.

    Can you change your oil?

Then you can do a shift kit. Just a bunch of bolts and a couple springs.
