I was wondering what mods I can get away with with out jeopardizing my both my GM Certified Warranty, along with my GM Personal Protection (Major Guard) Warranty (Click Here to see the coverage of MAJOR GUARD).

My question for this is.. what can I do to get even BETTER gas mileage out of my stock 2005 Grand Prix GT.. We picked it up less than a week ago, and the only thing I've done is added a K&N Drop in filter. Would an entire K&N air charger system be even better? What else can we do to improve our gas mileage further?

Ported rear isn't necessary (especially on the L36/L26) since the rear is already pretty good. Plog is a good idea as I just installed one on a buddy's 04 SS and he noticed a few extra MPG on his trip home (about 4 hours). He already had a DP and was getting 32-33MPG on his return trip. He got about 29MPG on the way here.

They'd void anything exhaust related. Shouldn't affect much else.

While it's true mods don't void your warranty as a whole, the dealer can blame issues you're having on a related mod.

    Google moss magnuson

Basically, the dealership must be able to prove that your mod was the cause of the failure, not that it exploited a preexisting fault to create a failure like a week factory connecting rod.
magnuson builds superchargers... and laid the groundwork via lawsuit.

    ^^^

Correct. It is the responsibility of the dealership to prove, in writing, that the modification did the harm or caused the issue. I had a write up once on details and such, I'll see if I can dig it up and post.
