i have a 2000 grandprix gt with a 3.8. It has a miss at 2000rpm in lockup when accelerating lightly. i can watch all the cylinders missfiring on my scanner while driving. It goes away when you kick it down. the plugs and wires have been done as well as a ignition module. i was thinking it could be crank sensor but not sure. the tcc duty cycle % changes when miss occures but not sure if its related. no codes. need some sugestions.

probably your tcc solenoid...mine does the same thing intermittently. FWIW leaving the car with the battery disconnected has helped others. Helped mine for about a week then started doing it again.

it is a steady miss untill you kick it down or let off throttle. you can feel it. when its missing the tcc duty cycle is drastically changing. the transmission fluid is a bit dirty but i dont see why the tcc slipping would give a misfire count

mine does the same thing....jumps a good 500 rpms. Give it enough throttle for it to kick down a gear and it goes away immediately like it never happened.

let completely off the throttle, then ease back into it. won't do it anymore.

or push the lockup way out so it never locks up. you'll get worse mileage, but it won't do it anymore.

ive never gotten a code with mine. how many miles on your car. you can maybe try replacing the crank sensor....mine needed one...didn't throw a code for it either.
