hello again, Have another problem. My car has an intermittent chugging that goes away with an engine restart. Every now and again when i start the car and go to drive away, when i give it gas it does not want to go. feels like its hesitating. If i floor it nothing happens. When it does this i looked around the engine and noticed that the oil dipstick could not be touched it was sooo hot. Went to the dealer thinking the cat was plugging up but of course the problem did not happen for him. Each time this happens all i have to do is turn off car and start it up agin and the problem is gone. Has anyone any idea on this. Thanks

hey man, No i have not sloved it yet mind you when i was at a light the other day my rpms went wonky on me then the check engine light came on solid. Had it scanned at the cat is starting to fail. So mabey that is the problem. I have done plugs, wires, seafoamed the motor, have not done the fuel filter because it is an in the tank jobbie ( lame idea that was). and still did no fix the problem. If you hear of any fix please let me know. My gp has 153k on it now and that problem has been around for around 750000k now. I have never had a code thrown till now, but is it ever a pita whatever it is. I'll let you know after the cat is done if it still acts up. the repair will be done in the first 2 weeks of jan sometime

hey guys had the cat done as per the mil p0420 code lots of power restored now but the intermittent chugging with a restart to fix it is still there. Piss me off. I was mabey thinking its the ignition switch since a key restart fixes it. Anyone have any ideas
