Im curious as to whats the most power people are putting
out of an all motor L36...."Thats no power adders"
Just a straight up motor build "Internal/External".

    For Example
    Pacesetter headers
    3" Xhaust
    Dual Magnaflows
    CAI
    And yes the ZZP 1.0...lol

    189hp

ZZP owns the record because they are the ones that make all the parts for it.

its not worth even doing. im also surprised that you havent hung yourself yet from having to listen to the painfully loud and ugly 3" exhaust you have.

    loud yes...Ugly not so much...
I only ask because there are always those suprising few that have done it.Wether they are here or not who knows thats why im asking.
I know these motors are very capable of breaking 200hp marks and further on just like to see what people are doing to get there.

although ill admit that my car did sound better when i was n/a versus being blown (with the same exhaust), but it still didnt sound good.

i also agree with what silva said. no one is building the L36 unless there is a blower going on it.

I had a GT1 cammed L36 with a box tune doing mid/high 14's on street tires. Crashed the car before I could play more with it. Probably had a low 14 in it with drag tires

LOL guess this was a pointless thread then...Atleast its clear 3" is beautiful with a sound that kills hahaha
No i agree the 3" is a lil much and is a headache but it came with the purchase of the headers So I JUMP IN IT!!!
Maybe it would be a little funner If its limited to Spray,Meth,E85?
    lol

meth and e85 wouldnt help you get anymore power to a certain extent. it'd allow you to run more timing, but timing only helps so much.

    190 WHP is peanuts.

    a stock GTP makes that.

GTP on a 3.8 pulley with basic flow mods like headers and intake + slicks = 13's.

e85 or meth wouldnt add much hp with out uping the compression. when i was na i could run upper 20s close to 30* of timing with out knock on 93.
I finally wised up and went turbo.
99 Grand Prix old build- CAI, Custom exhaust, HV3, Stage 2 TB, custom tune, ported heads intense s1x cam, headers.
Nothing great Just a small T66 Turbo with a Hv3 On a stock tranny untill i finish the other one.

Yeah i got the concept that N/a are not comparable stock vs gtp.Sure they can be built to measure up with the right combos to an extent without having to boost....

All motor build isnt limiting to bolt ons,I ways aiming more towards if someone uped comps, maybe stroked, cam set-ups,etc...

lol the parts i listed were purchased off a friend that had a gtp.Had plans on doing the obvious and top swapping...
But when u accumulate too many toys then somethings gotta take the back seat...

Thats why im asking, see guys on here doing top swaps and cant even get out of the 14's...Seems everyones fix is boost because its the easiest power to get for that motor???? Idk id be ok with good torque all motor.

Because the money you spend...you can go turbo and go tons faster. N/A with all the mods your pocketbook can handle MIGHT make 12's. These motors are turds without boost. Would a properly built heads/cam/stoker 3800 run good? Sure...but it isn't cost effective.
