Hi im new here and want to try asking what stuff can i put in my car to go faster, i got a 2007 pontiac grand prix base NA(this is short for Naturally Aspirated right?). when i was in yahoo they told me different things but some made no sense and there is not much parts for my car. the things i cant put in becuase of how much it costs is a supercharger and a CAMSHAFT, since the cam is like 1k to install or so i have heard. people have told me to do the basic mod of a Cold Air Intake but people argue back and forth "yes i should get" "it no i should not it wont add HP and i have a fine air box" "yes but more air is always better" i am should i get it or no and is it worth the $299? other things my buddy told me is from this site i saw which is cool ZZPerformance.com is that i should get a throttle body (or bottle someone told me) a Thermostat thing, a Downpipe and this HV3 High velocity insert. how much faster can my car go with that stuff and should i get those or something different?

To save money i want to try installing em myself that way i can figure it out and never have to take it to a mechanic or something and pay more $$$$. i was just thinking about putting in stuff that will help my car breath better like installing mufflers and a Cold Air Intake and whatever else i can do. thanks for having me here on this site i think its cool to have a place with grand prixs

WOW that bluegtp guy did a Great job dude this site is amazing, this guy actually takes his time to type all that dam its like 100 paragraphs he wrote. wow i was expecting the conversation like my other thread but this answered most of all my questions but up he talks about the GT car thats the NA does that still count for my 07 grand prix thats a BASE? also i think i might not mod my car really since well i dont know how my car will go faster if my PCM needs to be tuned and theres no PCM for my car and the custom tune people say will be a hassle supposably. i dont think my NA will even be able to crack the 15sec quarter mile with anything he had listed there. i read it all but really dont think i will gain anything the only thing i wanted to do was make my car as fast as your guys GT or GTP. dont think thats going to happen now

you guys helped me out in just like 3 days no 2 days while it took yahoo 2 months but ya since my PCM has no tune for it i dont think i will gain much and all those things he listed will cost me more than a supercharger i think and well i dont see that happening. Unless you guys know any other way around that im basically done since those bolt on parts wont get me 15sec or less even

You guys helped me out alot and thank the BlueGTP guy hes really cool guys for making that for people like me i dont know how much this site must like having him the cam thats going to cost me over 1k to install for one little thing and that could possibly mess up my engine also the top swap ya right like ill find the excat stuff for my car around here, thanks anyway i dont know what ill do now since my car wont be able to even level up with the GTP unless i get supercharger but that aint happening it will cost me a fortune and to put it on forget it.

    Thank you all

you can swap in an 05 PCM setup and as far as i know the only problem with it is that the gas gauge will read backwards. dont quote me on that 100% because i owned a 98 and never had to deal with such a problem.

slightly modding an n/a car is okay, but if youre looking for any big gains it is way easier to do it if youre running a blower or a turbo.
