I currently have a 2003 gt and I am interested in either adding a turbo kit or a super charger to the stock L36 engine. This would be the first thing I have added to the car that was not a failed stock part replacement. This car would remain my every day driver so adding nitrous etc isn't feasible.

my question is, can i simply add a supercharger(say the eaton m90, or other) to my stock L36 engine or do I have to seek out some other model? Any recommendations are welcome.

M62 sucka balls and dont do **** and they dont work on these cars, the m90 is is your only good option. dont ever buy a kit either, find the parts on here or craigslist.

The M62 is the 1st Gen blower from the early 90's and utilized VERY small pulleys to make power...try around 200 horse for a supercharged series I. They were junk...the M62 is now used on the LSJ, which the supercharged 2.0 DOHC ECOTEC motor in the Cobalt/Redline...but has been throughly reworked and makes as a good power adder.

I've been considering this upgrade for a couple months, and will be moving in to a new house in about 5 weeks with a spacious garage where I'll have all kinds of room to do the work and no home owner's assoc breathing down my neck about working on my car in the garage. I know that the difference between a GT and a GTP is about 40 bhp out of the factory, is that about what I should expect by adding the m90?
