Hey all im starting the first process of modding my grand prix gt.Its an 01 with 123,000 miles on it.So sometime this week I plan on making my own intake based off of "simple intake".it looks pretty easy and straightforward but I have a little problem.Ive inspected my stock intake system and cant seem to figure a few things out.One thing is that there is a tube-like thing coming from the left side of the airbox, what is it?and how do I go about taking that out?and secondly how do I actually get the airbox off,are there any bolts or can I just yank it out with the cross brace out the way?Any help please.thanks

Take off the cross brace...you have to just un-screw the rubber housing off of the Throttle body...and it all comes off. Maybe a picture jeeves...because only 97-98 cars had a 90* bend with a resonator in the intake system from the factory.
