I just replaced the UIM on my GP because of the leaks. Ugh, nice bit of oil in the intake. Anyway, while putting the UIM back on, I managed to snap two of the bolts. Right now, the front middle one and rear far left one are not in. Everything else is tight and secure. I went to a dealer today to try to get the bolts, but they said they'd have to order. I'd rather drive the car than my Imp, but with the bolts missing, am I chancing anything driving it? I can order the bolts Monday, and it'll be 3-4 days before I get them. I guess the only thing I am going to chance is a slight vacuum leak, but after putting everything back together, the car ran for a good 5 minutes without any problems.

Rear, left, as in driver side or passenger side? If it's the driver side (closest to the TB), I wouldn't drive it. Coolant into your intake would not be pretty...

Passenger side. When I removed the 10 bolts, it looked like there were approximately 3 different lengths/types. Two 10mm bolts also had screw threads on top for additional screws. One 8mm bolt was long; it was on the throttle body. The other seven appeared the same, but according to the picture at the dealer, there are four different lengths. That passsenger side rear one is shorter than the others.

That's what I figured. I've got other vehicles, so I don't have to drive it for the handful of days it'll take to get the bolts. I can wait the day or two for the dealership. Probably will call early Monday morning, and maybe have the bolts by the afternoon on Tuesday.

How did you snap them off, IIRC they are torqued to like 11 ft lbs. There is a list of torques specs on this forum somewhere.

Settings are 89 in lbs; we had them set to 84 in lbs. Snapped twice. I don't know if that's because it's the ZZP intake, or weak bolts. While the UIM was off, I noticed the lower intake gaskets were aluminum, so it's possible the car is now on its third upper intake. Or only the LIM was cleaned and gaskets replaced. It was pretty nasty inside the UIM; there was probalby a cup of oil sitting in it.
