i know you know your **** dude, but when i was looking at getting a wideband that was where i was going to put my bung. and my exhaust shop told me i wasnt going to get a "true" reading there because at the crossover its really only measuring the front 3 cylinders. idk just throwin that out there.

and with my ssac's the 02 sensor only hit the floor in reverse haha

normally because youre not skewing the injectors for any reason you can be pretty confident that the front 3 banks are the same as the rear 3. if you are skewing the injectors you have to be more careful.

however, think about this: the S&S headers i had on my car had the o2 sensor only reading the front bank. never had any problems.

Mine only reads the front bank too....so far so good.

And even then, the stock spot is mediocre at best for reading all banks.

Isnt it the front bank you should be more concerned about anyways?

The front manifold is more restrictive than the rear, so yes, in theory they are more susceptible to chipping just for that factor. It seems that #3 was always a culprit right ahead of #1.

Four has the least restrictive manifold (at least with my headers, straight back) but being in the middle makes heat a factor so I can believe both.
