Ok guys my A/C has been blowing out strong but stays pretty warm until the night time. My father stripped off a compressor off another 02 Grand Prix so we are going to swap it. Do you think that would solve the problem? Also whats the easiest way on doing this? And will it snake through the bottom or top? Thanks guys

impossible to answer the question without both high and low pressure measurements (with blower on high) as well as ambient temp and rpm during the measurements dude.

It could be worn expansion valve, worn compressor, dirty condenser or low refrigerant charge.

Not only that, but this compressor you have from another GP, has it been run in awhile? if it sat the seals could be crap.

Alright and another thing is that the passenger vents are definitely cooler then the driver's side. Don't know if that means anything? Should I even swap out the compressor? And I'll check up on the seals of that other compressor.

the vents being cooler is expected because their closer to the evaporator.

If I were you. I wouldn't swap the compressor. You need to get a set of gauges on it first. Your compressor may be fine and you might end up far worse off. You can take it to most shops and have a complete evac\charge done for around $100. they could tell you whats going on and it'll save you a lot of time and trouble.
