Alright... so ive figured out that a top swap seems to be naturally asperated to supercharged, using the std blower for these cars, the M90, and that the gen 5 is prefered to the gen 3. knowing that the higher compression ratio of my L26 may be an issue, is this feasable as a daily driver? if so what might the costs involved be?

Not sure about Series III, but the hard parts for the Series II can be had for about $700 plush shipping. All that you'd need to complete it is gaskets, some bolts that can't be reused, and a PCM tune. Plus, someone to install it if you can't do it.

Of course, I'd expect Series III parts (especially the blower) to be more expensive.

Check with ZZP they may have a SS M-90 kit available for your car now ,I know they plans of releasing a kit for the 04and up ,I have been running the kit for gen2 for over a year with no problems I did have the trans rebuilt prior to installing the kit but i've had no trans. problems since ,the cost of the kit was around $1200 before adding a SSIC.Chico.

You should have no problems using the car as your daily driver. I really feel that the impact of higher compression on FI motors is exaggerated a little. I was running a 3.8" pulley practically stock with minimal KR (1*-2*). All i had was an open cone, u-bend delete, plugs, and t-stat. If you throw in a DP or a set of headers you should be all set. And as far as the transmission goes i dont think you should worry. Its not exactly easy to kill your differential, be it an HD or non-HD one.

Will the L26 TB bolt up to a gen 3 M90? If so then you always have the option of running L67 parts on your L26.
