I finally gave up on locating it and took the car to the dealership for a 35 dollar diag and inspection.
Using a scope and pressure test, they are certain that the antifreeze leak is coming from the "frost plug behind the transmission". I am assuming he meant the transaxle. At any rate, they told me they need to remove the trans to get to it. Based on where it is coming from, if there is a frost plug up there, I would buy that it is coming from it.
Based on the fact that i can't even see it, I would also believe that the trans would need to come out of it to get to the frost plug.
So my question is this, can someone verify that there is in fact a forst plug back there? If there is, can someone give me some pointers on removing the Transmission/Transaxle? What are the land mines?
As always, thanks a bunch.
