    I have a paper flapping sound coming from the rear manifold. I've gone through checked every bolt, new gasket ect. the noise is still there. Its a new manifold to

    Manifold could be cracked. Not saying it is common but it is possible. Try a rear manny from a junkyard and toss it on there...also it could be the downpipe to manifold gasket and not the manifold gasket itself.

    i bet its the top of the resinator rotted out flappin around

    ^^I hope that's a joke...the car would be louder if the resonator cracked or rusted open...the paper flapping sound is the basic knowledge of a bad gasket in the exhaust system.

    Just get GM metal replacements or the metal ones from your local auto parts store for a few bucks
