Almost every time I start my car and it is already warm, It will start and then instantly die. Starts right back up and stays running the second try. Anyone else ever have this issue?

sounds like a sensor issue does it have a check engine light on
I had the same issue on my 04 GT. I took it into a shop to get it looked at. They cleaned the throttle body out and that solved the problem. If I would have known that was what it was, I would have just done it myself.
Apparently its a tech bulletin for the 04+ models. But it may still apply to yours.
^^Nope...just the '04+ cars...its the DBW thing.
maybe a CPS or MAF sensor or some other sensor just starting to go bad? fuel pump or fuel pressure ragulator starting to go?
I am doing the LIM, UIM gaskets and found the PCV valve had a bunch of that nasty tan goop caked in it from a failed LIM gasket. Hoping maybe that was the issue. Should have it back together by the end of the week and will give an update if it is fixed.
good to know make sure u get all the vaccume hoses and clean REALLY well to prevent it from happeneing again
Trailshredder, Did you ever get this problem fixed? Mine does the same thing on the warm start, esp after sitting. Starts fine in the morning. But when its warm, it either dies or bumps to 1500rpm, down to 500 and hunts until it gets the idle corrects. Runs perfect after its started. I also cleaned the IAC and the throttle body intake. All this was after replacing the MAF sensor. Im starting to suspect that the cardone MAF I replaced is faulty. When I unplug the new MAF the staling goes away but there is a small hunt in the idle for a few seconds.
If anyone else is here and can help, please do. This is my first post.
Thanks in advance
Originally, it was intermittently jerking while driving and the code reader said low voltage MAF. The idle problem was not there at this time. I replaced the MAF and that problem went away but now Im left with a new problem.
you simply need to remove the air intake tube at the throttle body.open the throttle plate as far as possible, and give it a good cleaning all around. The computer hasnt had time to compensate on the first try.it knows a pre set value to set the idle air control motor.just give that a try. i think you,ll be happy. cause waterboy1 said so.yea.
