I have a 1999 Grand Prix GT, exhaust is all stock so far and am wanting to do a ubend delete. I am also wanting to make the exhaust just a little louder and still keep stock mufflers on if possible. I am just looking for a little growl at the same time. Is it better to do just a simple ubend delete or should i spend the money and get a downpipe. Any answers appreciated.

I would replace the whole down pipe which will take care of the ubend. I would also just keep the stock mufflers and if you want growl, buy something with a V8

Like silverstreak said. Just buy a DP. As far as the catback goes, I still advice against getting any work done to the caback unless you just feel like blowing money. The only way to make it louder without removing the stock mufflers is having the resonator removed, and with that gone it just sound like a loose cooch

Hey thanks for the replies. I will probably just get a downpipe then. Should I get a 2.5" or 3".

If you never plan on doing anything mod wise with the car, get a 2.5.

If you plan on doing something with it, get a 3.

    NEVER go 2.5"

anyone that tells you that has no balls...you want the car to breathe...and putting a small downpipe on a car that has breathing problems anyways due to the way the exhaust is setup from the factory is stupid
