change oil soon light

Latly ive noticed that my change oil soon light has been on. is this because i didnt reset something when I changed the oil last?? I have an 03 gt and i just changed the oil 1000 miles ago. how accurate is this light and what does it mean when it stays on for like 3 min and then just turns off??

My car did that before I got my oil changed. Would turn on for about 3 minutes as a reminder and turn off and come back on when you start it again. To reset it turn the key to the on position and then pump the gas pedal 5 times within 10 seconds.
