Im looking for a round a bout number of what it will cost to take my (engine wise) stock 98 GT and turn it into a light to light racer that will take most stock vehicles...

Also what is more effective (performance to cost wise)?
    • Top swap
    • Or just dropping a l67/l32
    Thanks

Also i dont want any parenting on why street racing is bad... I dont do it often and im smart about it... plus i usually dont go 10 - 20 over the limit.. i just try and beat em to the limit or a little higher to prove my point then i stop.. Thanks!!

If I buy this can i take all the stuff for a top swap off this motor (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1996-...item5d26d8cff3) and put it on my N/A motor? sorry im a noob at cars im 16 and never really learned... but im trying to.

Also, Once I save up more money and get another day to day vehicle, I am going to turn this into a track car.

top swap: $500 if youre resourceful

whole engine: $600+ unless you can get a cheap motor somewhere

i always liked a top swap better because the higher compression made the car just run more normal and not feel like a dog out of boost.

if you look in the right places (this forum) you can get a top swap for around $200 from people getting rid of stock parts.
