    Hey all,

I have an 04 grand prix gt and I was wondering how difficult it would be to sueprcharge it. I'm not wanting an extreme amount of power, just something around the gtp's stock 260. I have been checking out the forum and have been seeing that I would need to do a "top swap." Could someone please explain to me what that all entails (i.e. what parts are needed, any rewiring, and remaping of the computer, does the engine need to come out, etc.) and also how difficult it would be for an average person to do this by themselves. Also would the tranny need any work done (has about 80k on it) and what other supporting mods would be necisary to keep this car in its daily drivable condition if I were to go the S/C route. Any and all advice welcome. Turbo is also a possiblity so any advice on what would be needed with that (again tranny, wiring, removing engine, etc.) would be great!!!

P.S. if anyone can ballpark cost measures on this that would be great too!

There's a sticky in this section that you looked over. It explains it.

its quite simple actually. For starters make sure you get the right s/c. You need the gen5 s/c with the drive-by wire t/b.
