I just bought a GP gt 2000....It had few problems almost with all gaskets. At first the car was shaking alot but it stop went the mechanic fixed it. Also I had the recall piece remove and install some part. Now that I drove it around away from the shop the car smells like fire even though there is no smoke coming out of the engine. What could it be? Does this car usually smells like this? or I am having some engine problems? Becaus even though the check engine light is on it has to do with the oxygen sensor plug at least thats what they told me at autozone store. Can one 1 please help would appreciate your help. this car had 139k

strange problem. lets hope it has nothing to do with fire.....maybe they used some type of sealer that may take a little while to stop smelling.

Try cleaning the motor. Many times there is baked on fluids that heat up and smell bad.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

yes......clean the entire engine bay with engine degreaser and rinse off. It may take more than one can, if it has not been done in some time or you live in an area that is dirty or has dirt roads.
