I have read most of the threads from DIY to other threads about parts. I want to keep my car NA so on a budget of 1500 what are the best mods I can do to get that extra power and speed?

I'm not very well versed in the motor and tranny area that is the reason for the noob question. if you feel like flamming it's a waist of time as I already know.

for $1500 you can make it a decently "quick" car, but by no means will it be fast. you can max out an l36/l26 setup for about that much money.

however, if you dont know how to work on cars im not sure how youre going to achieve this.

All the normal first mods (intake, t-stat, etc.), then get a cam and an HV3.

You have a Grand Prix as your weekend fun car? Either turbo it, or sell it for something that you can really label as a "weekend fun car."

Read my thread in the General Tech section...

    Intake of some sort
    180* T-Stat
    Autolite 605 Spark Plugs

    PLOG
    3" Downpipe
ER Rockers or a GT1 Cam
    Custom Tuned PCM

Agreed, but that's that's the only way to get a GT lower than high 12s without some sort of boost.
