I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with any of these ses lights. My gf just bought this car and the lights on the dash are as follows:

Airbag: tried the SIR fuse, no go. Have a feeling it's been deactivated.

ABS/Trac: lost on this one. Maybe a sensor or line?

*anyone with ideas or comments please feel free to chime in. Thanks

I think I know what he meant. To check the abs sensor for the front "two" wheels? I'll get it looked at. Thanks.

Hey Liquifire (used to be a John Deere snowmobile name-Liquifire and Trailfire). What does your 98 run in the quarter? I love the GTPs.

I got the name because I had a JD liquifire like fifteen yrs ago.......with the 440 kawa motor in it. I have never had my car to the track, only owned it for a couple of months. Since it is mostly stock I hear these run low 15's stock.......yes the abs and traction control are tied together on these cars. The sensors are hooked up to the wheel bearings.......do you have any codes showing or displayed other than mentioned above? If you could get it scanned somewhere or get us the actual code you could probably pinpoint it to a specific tire...........hopefully.

Maybe I can use my Diablosport to scan it? I'll try that first. That's the exact same snowmachine I had, it was modded with clutch etc. Those GTPs are hot cars and comfy too. Thanks for the reply

I am looking forward to installing the downpipe/Plog or headers, and 3.4 pulley and tune. That should get me into the high 13's.......MY liquifire was completely stock......not so much for suspension in those days...motor was actually fairly quick for its day......so slow by todays standards though.......good luck. Not sure what the capabilities are with the Diablo.....no experience with it. If you could get a code it would help tremendously.

This problem is usually caused by (I'm pretty sure this is what buddy was trying to tell you... haha) the sensors on the front wheel bearing assembly. This sensor is not sold by any dealer or aftermarket supplier around here as it's part of the hub. Mine got snipped once when I had my tires changed at a cheap garage.... Not cool.

if it is the wire you could re splice it back in..........if it is the hub you will need a entire new wheel bearing assembly.........if that is it. It could be the ABS controller end of it too..........

depends on where the wire was snipped too, mine was snipped too close to the hub so I didn't have enough enough wire to be able to splice it. Just depends on your luck and your SPLICING SKILLS haha

Same lights are on in my 00 GTP. I recently got the ABS and Trac Control checked by local mechanic with a scanner and I found out I needed a EBCM, (Electronic Brake Control Module). I thought it was a sensor too but unfortunately not. I never got the Airbag light checked but I'm not too concerned about it. Thought I'd share that so maybe you could narrow it down with the ABS. Good luck!

best place to get an ebcm is a junkyard......otherwise they are an expensive part to get new.........like I said hope for the wheel bearing....also, you could reattach the wires if cut by soldering them in if you really wanted to.......otherwise get a new clip with lead wires from junkyard also...

Thanks guys. I'm thinking with my luck I'll have to replace the whole hub assembly It's my girlfriend's ride and that's why I am so picky about all the safety features, for myself I don't really mind not having abs and trac control, the airbag is probably wise to get fixed too I assume. I don't know why the light is on but I'd hate to have it go off (or not work at all) on her or something.

I'm pretty sure I can get a code or two off of it, but I have to wait for her to come back from visiting family for a couple days. When the car is here I'll have to check it out and scan it. Thanks again.

I did read somewhere on here that some of the gp's had a recall on the airbag....not sure about the details though or if it is even true......
