    My car has been running hot, not quite overheating. The guage bounces between just below the half way mark to above it. I had the coolant flushed and replaced(rusty),changed cap and thermostat. I guess the water pump will be next, any suggestions? Where should the guage read normally?

    Is it a stock 195* T-Stat? Then that's why...thye go up half way if not a little more. Get a 180* and tune the PCM for COOL results...
