I'm pretty sure my MAF sensor is bad. When I first start up my car put it in gear and hit the gas pedal the rpms drop and the engine studders. It sometimes cut off when I hit the go pedal. When the car it warm it doesn't do this. I did a test, when the car was cool I started the car and lightly hit the maf sensor with a screwdriver handle. The rpm's started to go up and down when I did this. I have been looking at the maf sensor prices and the zzp maf conversion (this kit ZZ Performance) is a little cheaper than the factory sensor. Is this kit better than the factory sensor? Should I get the kit? My L36 engine is otherwise stock. There will be more mods in the future though.

You really won't benefit from a bigger MAF with a stock L36. A good and quick way to tell is to unplug it and start it. If it still bogs and stuff it isn't the MAF. If it stops then it is the MAF. Try to get one from Ed Morad @ Morad Parts Company.

Let me do another test tomorrow and I will let you know. If I do get it could you combine the sensor and the strut tower brace's shipping?
