I ordered a 3" filter thinking it would be big enough, how much of a difference is there between a 4" FWI and a 3" FWI on a GT? Is it worth sending back or is the gain negligible?

For what it's worth, I also have an L67 TB and will be using heat wrapped exhaust pipe.

You can do 3"...its fine...it just doesn't perform as GOOD as the 4", but it will work. Just wrap the exhaust crossover...and for the TB...do you have a tuner? If not then it won't work too well...honestly I would be surprised if it started and ran normal.

Yes I've a tuned PCM from Overkill programed for the new TB in the car already, which is giving me minor inconveniences until I fit the new TB.

Would it be worth taking my filter back for the performance gains?

It would probably be worth putting the THROTTLE BODY your car is tuned for man...

I know, I put the PCM in right away because I had no torx bits but I did have the proper wrenches to put the bolts into the PCM. Tomorrow I will get that installed and get some exhaust pipe bent, this filter ought to do for a GT.

It's a GT, so a downpipe isn't as great of a mod as it is on a GTP. Sure, get a 2.5" Catted Downpipe, Front Powerlog Manifold...then get your TB installed and HV3 Upper Insert...should run 14's with a good launch in cooler weather IMO.
