Ive been getting a SVS light on my DIC since i got the car[roughly 2 weeks ago] but im not throwing any codes as far as i can tell, i reset my oil life indicator thing to see if that would shut it off but to no avail.

does anyone know wtf the SVS light on the DIC means?

Thats what i said, but i just doubled checked with a different autotron scanner and there are no codes, and no pending/stored codes.

i have no CEL, but this damned SVS notification is starting to really piss me off

The SVS light can be set by body codes, abs codes, etc that standard scanner doesn't pick up. You need to find someone with a Tech II, HP Tuners, or something else that will read those codes.

SVS light is different than a SES light as already stated. Most cheper scanners can not rear BCM and ABS codes.

Who wants to take bet's that it's a wheel sensor?

You can't read BCM or ABS codes with HPT.

They show up with the rest of the codes. You can't clear them, but you can read them.

Not on my tuner. I had an ABS wheel code for one of my wheel bearings. I have never seen anything. And I'm not aware of anything that I can do to enable them to show up.

Well, they show up in mine, I have a bad RF wheel speed sensor right now. The mods on the HPT forum says it should work, and it works for everyone else I've talked to. Might want to shoot them an email.

Yeah. I'll have to do that. I changed both of mine out because of the milage on them and the code went away. So I know it was one of them. But it still would have been nice to know of this feature. Maybe you can disable it somehow. Or maybe something else is wrong. Anyhow thanks for the info.

You are up to date, right? It's not a feature they've had since the beginning or anything, it was something they added after people requested it on their forums. I'm not sure what version they added it in.

    Yep. 2.2.0

I have not had the tuner since they first came out, But I belive I did upgrad to the newer realease from 2.1.0.

I'll look around and see if I can't come up with something to explain this.

    Thanks again.

latest is 2.22, and even in that, they've had a few small revisions they put up quietly without announcing it. I'd try reinstalling.

Sorry that's the one I have. I got confused when I was trying to think of the last version.
